Thank you Tony! I appreciate that you have thought you so much of life and studies how to be better。 Your efforts are appreciated。

Some great life principles from a man that implements them。 The aspect or rewiring your brain was interesting and NLP。 At 400 pages long this is a big investment, I loved some chapters but others I felt went on。 I will be revisiting though to solidify some of these views。 Some key core principles and concepts here that are timeless。I liked how Tony educated about food, metaprogrammes, rapport, belief and also perspective。
Simone Martino,

This was my fourth book that I read by Tony Robbins。。。。the first was "Awaken The Giant Within" (excellent read), then "Money, Master the Game," then I followed that up with the companion book, "Unshakeable。"So, I came to finish "Unlimited Power" at a good time in my awareness of Tony Robbins' approach and emphasis。 I also completed a few books on NLP prior to finishing this book, which empowered me to read about some of the techniques he speaks about in "Unlimited Power。" By far, "Unlimited Powe This was my fourth book that I read by Tony Robbins。。。。the first was "Awaken The Giant Within" (excellent read), then "Money, Master the Game," then I followed that up with the companion book, "Unshakeable。"So, I came to finish "Unlimited Power" at a good time in my awareness of Tony Robbins' approach and emphasis。 I also completed a few books on NLP prior to finishing this book, which empowered me to read about some of the techniques he speaks about in "Unlimited Power。" By far, "Unlimited Power" is more of a the empowering techniques of NLP than say "Awaken The Giant Within。" Some of the technicality may be lost upon a reader reading "Unlimited Power" for the first time, but do not let that stop you! Absorb this book。 It is backed by powerful evidence cues of validity and how each of our nervous systems respond to stimuli。This book is a guide book on how to rewire your brain so that your communication with yourself (first), and then to others is maximized。 Or, how Tony continually calls it "more elegant。" Ultimately, it is an ACTION book, but the foundation on how to produce said ACTION is cutting edge and novel。 That is part of this book's appeal。 My take-aways:1。 "Sub-modalities" are key to understanding and empowering beliefs or experiences you have now。 They come straight from NLP, and they are the "molecules of meaning" that come from "Modalities," or our 5 senses taking in the world each day。2。 Using the "Swish Pattern" for reinforcing positive change;3。 Eliciting someone elses' "strategies," which is the foundation for creating "rapport" which is working well with others, which ultimately is the ultimate goal of life, right?4。 The "Precision Model" by asking "Meta-Questions。。。"Meta" meaning "next level;"5。 "Meta-Programs;"6。 Reframing;7。 Anchoring;8。 Values and the "Value Hierarchy;"9。 I also enjoyed the quick review in the conclusion chapter, Chapter 11 "Living Excellence - The Human Challenge。"This is a book to keep for a lifetime, and one should come back to it from time to time to incant the positive principles it gloriously delivers to the reader。 Bravo Tony, well done! 。。。more

Muy buen libro, aunque más que libro se le debería llamar MANUAL, ya que está lleno de ejercicios que se deben profundizar。 Así que después de esta primera leída me queda ponerlo en práctica, releyendo capítulo por capítulo。

lots of good stuff in here! But definitely skip the section on food。Also, would have been nice to have some more rigorous citation。I recently saw a TikTok from a therapist saying that he didn't know any conservative therapists, and that he couldn't even imagine what that would be like。I think that this book is kinda what it would be like lol。 lots of good stuff in here! But definitely skip the section on food。Also, would have been nice to have some more rigorous citation。I recently saw a TikTok from a therapist saying that he didn't know any conservative therapists, and that he couldn't even imagine what that would be like。I think that this book is kinda what it would be like lol。 。。。more

Listened to the abbreviation audio book。 So much of what Anthony Robbins says is true and motivational。 Loved that he said we really need energy to accomplish what we want our lives to be。 It sounds so simple, but obviously true。 This of course means eating the right food and getting a good amount of exercise。 Having energy is important to accomplishing goals and even coming up with the ideas behind what we want in life。

Unlimited power is the first book I’ve read about NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) by Anthony Robbins。 If you seek to change your life, improve yourself or if you are simply curious about how you can adjust your perception of the world around you with cascading effects, this is for you。 General concept : the book focuses mostly on the principle that power lies in how you perceive your environment and how to reorient your emotions。 Idea : you can change and train your brain to react differently Unlimited power is the first book I’ve read about NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) by Anthony Robbins。 If you seek to change your life, improve yourself or if you are simply curious about how you can adjust your perception of the world around you with cascading effects, this is for you。 General concept : the book focuses mostly on the principle that power lies in how you perceive your environment and how to reorient your emotions。 Idea : you can change and train your brain to react differently to its first disposition by doing associations/dissociations in your head。 Example : you can give some events more, less or a different impact on you by visualizing them and changing some aspects of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch。Obviously this is only one of the many principles that makes the foundation of this very complete book。 Unlimited power is mostly practical and give a lot of exercises to do, most of them, if done correctly, providing immediate results and can be fun to try。 The examples may seem a bit dated (you have to keep in mind that the book was first published in 1986) but the theory is timeless。 If you have not seen Tony Robbins documentary “I am not your guru” on Netflix, I really recommend you do it。 It really gives an idea of the incredible powerful charismatic energy he radiates。 I must have seen it 5 times already, each time I am as moved (to tears), impressed and inspired。 。。。more

When I started reading this book, I thought "wow, Tony Robbins is a genious", something that I still believe。 However, a fair number of the advice one extracts from the book can prove to be dangerous if one takes it without adequate critical thinking。 Here's why:Tony argues that EVERYTHING in psychology is tied to HOW a person interprets the world around him。 Case in point, he says: "So you say you are depressed。 I am interesting in knowing HOW you got yourself depressed, not what happened to yo When I started reading this book, I thought "wow, Tony Robbins is a genious", something that I still believe。 However, a fair number of the advice one extracts from the book can prove to be dangerous if one takes it without adequate critical thinking。 Here's why:Tony argues that EVERYTHING in psychology is tied to HOW a person interprets the world around him。 Case in point, he says: "So you say you are depressed。 I am interesting in knowing HOW you got yourself depressed, not what happened to you。 Re-experiencing feelings of severe conflict, anxiety and trauma is not a good solution cause it amplifies your initial pain。 What do you SAY to yourself, what specific language are you using, what kind of colors are you imagining when you think about yourself?"。 It stroke me as one of the most dangerous opinions I have subjected myself to。 All that valuable introspection, getting to know one's self by stepping back and examining his origins is a counterproductive solution, according to Tony Robbins。 This is clear avoidance of one's "dark" parts of his past。 Searching for the "why" in a problem is important when we want to solve it。 Of course, overthinking is a trap on its own, but that is a different story。 Tony thinks that sadness and depression is just an "illusion" we need to snap ourselves out of。 Doesn't work like that。 Period。Reading this book can get the reader to feel elevated, thinking that "wow, I just need to train my mind to think like that!"。 That is, only until they find themselves too tired and depleted to apply his practices, that negative emotions kick in again。 Or even worse, blame himself for not being able to follow through, that he did not work hard enough on himself or that he just did not get Tony's methods。 It's a really dangerous mental trap。 Those methods should complement the ones that scientists have so far proposed and backed up with actual research。 I do think that those methods CAN work, but should be applied in very short term situations (a basketball game, an important interview, etc), not as a general strategy。 Tony does provide some very valuable information about the human mind, as well as how to strategize about one's life。 But, alas, he tries to sell his methods a bit too much, making for a recipe for disaster。 If you can take his advice critically and apply what can work for you, in circumstances that it is safe for you to use, definetely read it。 If, on the other hand, it is one of your first books in the field of self-help and psychology, you might want to stay away。 。。。more

Basa Opsoe,
Wordy to me but only because I read Awaken The Giant Within which I felt was a bit more polished and better paced when explaining Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)。 I love Tony Robbins’ work and what he has done for many people but I felt the influx of fake gurus making a quick buck really diluted the self-help space Tony carved along with pioneers before him

Amazing book!! As the book was published in 1987, I was worried that the content would be no longer useful, accurate, or as relevant in 2020, but I gave it a read anyway and could not be happier that I did。。 I would honestly recommend this book to anyone and everyone, it is filled with so many profound insights and distinctions regarding every area of life that I consider it a must-read。 I have a feeling I will definitely be re-reading this book along with my current #1 favorite book, Tony Robbi Amazing book!!
